A bill introduced by Sens. Barbara Boxer, D-Calif., and David Vitter, R-La., calls for flood prevention projects and aquatic and harbor ecosystem restoration projects by the Army Corps of Engineers. The infrastructure authorization bill -- called the Water Resources Development Act -- includes $250 million per year for "flood restoration and hurricane and storm damage reduction projects." A vote could happen as soon as next month, according to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev.
