The California State University Institute for Palliative Care at Cal State San Marcos is expanding a pilot project for chaplains into a certificate program through HealthCare Chaplaincy. The program covers spiritual and emotional support, cultures and religious beliefs, and end-of-life care. Father Calin Tamiian, a Byzantine Catholic priest, says the course could help "standardize the way that spiritual care is provided at the end of life."
