The Center for Consumer Information and Insurance Oversight has provided more information about federally run health insurance exchanges, including some technical details. The agency has outlined a tentative plan for enrollment, wherein consumers will shop and select a plan on the federal website, then be directed to insurer websites, which will deal with payment and other details. A call center will also be set up to provide support and direct consumers to navigators or insurers as needed.
