Nearly every category of product is now purchased via mobile, and retailers are now challenged to make price points as well as engage consumers on on a personal level on these devices, which offer the chance to buy whenever the mood strikes. "Yes, consumers use their mobile devices to be better informed shoppers, but the sheer volume and growth of mobile commerce has to be more about convenience," said Mitch Bishop, chief marketing officer at Moovweb.
