The town of Greenburgh, N.Y., is looking at using alternative fuels such as propane autogas to reduce the town's costs and its reliance on imported oil. "We are planning to experiment with propane on some of the vehicles, probably with three or four of the vehicles initially, and if it works, we anticipate saving as much as 40% off the cost of fuel in these vehicles," said Supervisor Paul Feiner.
