About 40 students in the Environmental Alliance at Haverford Middle School in Pennsylvania are launching a public awareness campaign in conjunction with the Philadelphia Zoo's UNLESS service-learning contest, all along the lines of this year's theme "saving energy to save wildlife." With a $2,500 prize at stake, the marketing team created posters and business cards with the slogan "conserve our energy to conserve our future" while other students worked on an iMovie, a flash mob, website, mural and other items as part of the project, which must offer practicable solutions and effect change.
