Some companies are considering increased use of temporary workers because, starting in January, the federal health care law will require businesses with 50 or more full-time workers to offer coverage or face a penalty. "We are already getting inquiries from our client base for companies in and around 50 [employees], asking us to help them understand this legislation, and to inquire as to how we might be helpful," said M. Keith Waddell, president of staffing agency Robert Half.
