Scientists using NASA's Kepler satellite have identified three planets thousands of light-years from Earth -- including two that may be "water worlds" with deep oceans -- that they are calling some of the best candidates for life outside the Milky Way. "With all of these discoveries we're finding, Earth is looking less and less like a special place and more like there's Earth-like things everywhere," said Thomas Barclay, Kepler scientist at the Bay Area Environmental Research Institute.
