The developers of the London Array, the world's biggest offshore wind farm, have switched on the last of its 175 Siemens turbines. The 630-megawatt facility is designed to generate enough power for nearly 500,000 homes annually. Denmark's Dong Energy owns 50% of London Array, while E.ON owns 30% and Masdar Abu Dhabi Future Energy owns the remainder.
