The idea for an application for pregnant women grew out of a doctor's experience sending tips to his expectant daughter. Drs. Mark Gostine and Gareth Forde developed the babyQ app in conjunction with ProCare Systems. Pregnant women receive customized tips after filling out a 22-question survey. More than 3 million free mHealth downloads on the iPhone have been documented in the U.S., along with 300,000 paid downloads, according to Research2Guidance.
