The Commodity Futures Trading Commission has adopted a rule that exempts interaffiliate trades from Dodd-Frank Act requirements for clearing. "Interaffiliate swaps do not introduce risks to a corporate group," Robert Pickel of the International Swaps and Derivatives Association and Ken Bentsen of the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association wrote in a letter to the CFTC. "They allocate and transfer risks among group members."
