The House recently passed a bill designed to allow law firms and other organizations to share information about online security threats with the government. The bill is opposed by privacy groups, Senate Democrats and the White House, which could make passage in its current form difficult. "I think it's going to go through a lot of negotiation before it lands on the president's desk, if it gets that far," said Jerry Ferguson of Baker & Hostetler.
