Fish were prey for the microraptor, a small flying dinosaur whose bones have been found by Canadian scientists in China. Remains of a fish in the dinosaur's belly show that it hunted like modern birds, swooping down to the water to snatch up fish. Scientists originally believed the microraptor only ate birds and small mammals. "It took advantage of a variety of prey in the wet, forested environment that was China during the early Cretaceous period, 120 million years ago," University of Alberta paleontology graduate student Scott Persons said.
