Crediting South Korea for its past fiscal restraint, Fitch is retaining its credit rating and outlook for the country while noting the government's supplementary budget to stimulate the economy will delay fiscal consolidation. "Sustained fiscal discipline in recent years has given Korea some headroom to accommodate fresh stimulus, but any inability to resume fiscal consolidation could limit the potential for upward ratings pressure," Fitch said.
