Owners of medium-size smartphones and full-screen tables are active users of their mobile devices, according to a report from Flurry, the mobile analytics firm, which found relatively little application activity for the large-screen products known as "phablets." Flurry, which divided 200 models into five categories, found tablets of at least 8.5 inches in size and phones between 3.5 and 4.9 inches as having especially outsized app usage. "Phablets are a fad," Flurry commented.
