GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy and Dominion Virginia Power have struck a nuclear cooperation deal that could generate new jobs at GE's facilities in Castle Hayne, N.C. Under the terms, GE Hitachi's Economic Simplified Boiling Water Reactor design would be used for a new reactor project at Dominion's North Anna nuclear plant in Virginia. "We are thrilled to work with Dominion Virginia Power to potentially bring the world's most technologically advanced reactor to North Anna," said Caroline Reda, GE Hitachi's president and CEO.
