Construction of warehouses and distribution facilities in the Dallas-Fort Worth area is booming, with nearly 10 million square feet being built now compared to 1.7 million square feet a year ago, based on estimates by Cushman & Wakefield of Texas. Industrial building construction in the area has topped 2008 figures, and "I wouldn’t be surprised if building gets to 15 million or 16 million square feet," said Jean Russo, a Cushman & Wakefield senior director.
