Saginaw, Mich., leaders are scheduled to meet with Saginaw County officials today to discuss public safety after the county sheriff turned down an 80-officer law enforcement contract proposed by the city. "Public Safety planning, funding, and sustainability is a critical component to the City's reorganization plans; a key factor in our financial management strategy; and a matter of great importance and concern for our residents and business owners," City Manager Darnell Earley wrote in a letter to the sheriff.
