NASA experts say the space agency could build a manned space outpost, dubbed Skylab II, that would be made using part of the Space Launch System rocket hydrogen propellant tank. "This idea is not challenging technology," said Brand Griffin, an engineer with Gray Research who works with the Advanced Concepts Office at NASA's Huntsville, Ala., center. The Skylab II concept could save money, wouldn't need a lot of maintenance and could provide astronauts the equivalent space of a two-story house, he said.
