The Gaston County, N.C., school board will vote Monday whether to increase the price of school lunches by 10 cents, charging elementary-school students $2.40 per meal, and $2.50 for middle- and high-school students. Officials say the possible price increase will keep the district in compliance with the Healthy Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010 and also help keep up with rising food costs.
