Mary Rosenblum, incoming president of the Oregon Pilots Association, says that student pilots, flight cancellations and a loss of business are of concern if several air traffic control towers in her state are closed. "The economic impact in terms of the state economy is not going to be negligible," she said. The Oregon Pilots Association will push the Legislature to adopt a two-cent tax on jet fuel, to provide funding to keep the towers open.
