The continuing slowdown in PC shipments may mean manufacturers will delay their transition from DDR3 DRAMs to JEDEC's DDR4 standard, Agam Shah writes. IC Insights is still forecasting a bright future for DDR4, predicting DDR4 sales will exceed those of DDR3 in three years.
