The imminent release of the Galaxy S4 smartphone and other forthcoming handsets may leave Samsung Electronics scrambling to have enough mobile DRAM chips, which could force the company to buy DRAMs from Korean competitor SK Hynix, analysts speculate. "Not only DRAM chips, but all memory chips for mobile devices show signs of shortages," said Kim Sung In of Kiwoom Securities. "Samsung's biggest chip customer is itself and things will only get out of hand with the approach of the third quarter, typically the strongest time of year."
