More than 75 residents attended a Seattle City Council meeting to call for a moratorium on development of "apodments," which are cheap, small apartments meant to draw people in transition or young singles looking to live at a low price. Apodments have been gaining popularity in several neighborhoods, but residents say their design hasn't been approved by the city and that they damage community character and value.
