Former New York City Police Commissioner Bill Bratton says banks should adopt a management style that he used in the 1990s involving statistical analysis with a culture of information-sharing between the highest level of leaders and the lowest-ranking workers. As banks are required to cooperate with the government to identify illegal money movements, "collaboration and the use of technology to spot these inappropriate transactions at a branch" is increasingly important, he says.
