Roofing projects worth a total of about $1.1 million will be carried out at two schools in Northbrook, Ill., after the local school board approved bidders for the work. The roof at one school will be replaced for $895,000, while the other consists of spray-foam material and will be built for $183,354. Both projects are expected to be finished before the next school year begins, said district Superintendent Larry Hewitt.
