The AICPA governing Council on Monday voted to adopt a resolution that will make members of certain qualified accounting bodies outside the U.S. eligible to earn AICPA specialized credentials, including the Personal Financial Specialist credential. In the U.S., CPAs interested in pursuing the PFS credential have access to a pathway that includes in-depth education and exam review (including a live review class in June) to prepare for the exam.  The AICPA is exploring a pilot program with the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada.
