Paleontologists at the University of Michigan say carnivorous animals, whose remains were found in the Cerro de los Batallones caves in Spain, may have been lured to their deaths there. The animals probably went in search of food and water and were unable to find their way back out. "We think that the carnivores were getting trapped, and then they became additional food for another coming carnivore," said study co-author M. Soledad Domingo.
