The American Petroleum Institute urged the Department of Energy to green-light other liquefied natural gas export projects following the department's decision to approve a Freeport LNG export facility in Texas. "[The Department] has had the remaining applications on its desk for months and should ensure that these applications are approved without any further delay so that the U.S can achieve its full energy and economic potential," said Erik Milito, API's upstream director.
