Repealing Florida's renewable fuels standard would drive away investors and negate the progress the state has made in advanced biofuels, writes automotive expert Bobby Likis, president and CEO of Car Clinic Productions. The standard helps create jobs, lowers prices at the pump and stems the flow of Floridians' money "to other states, or worse, to other countries," says Likis, adding that in the past 42 years, he has not had one customer in his shop lose an engine because of ethanol.
