After spinal stenosis severely limited his ability to walk, Boston sportscaster Bob Lobel is using the Bionic Leg for rehabilitation. The exoskeleton, developed by Tibion Bio Tech Technologies, which was later bought by AlterG, works in response to the wearer's movements and offsets weakness, enabling Lobel to practice walking and climbing stairs. The Bionic Leg recently won the 2013 Entrepreneurship Award at the International Conference on Robotics and Automation.
