Texas is suing BP for damages over the 2010 Gulf of Mexico oil spill, becoming the fifth state to do so. The suit seeks to recover damages to natural resources, lost state parks revenue, lost tax revenue and civil penalties. "Today's filing follows years of work with Texas' sister Gulf states and the federal government, as well as BP, to resolve damages associated with harm caused to the Gulf," Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott said.
