Craft beer sales totaled between $10.2 billion and $12 billion last year, double the estimated $5.7 billion in 2007 sales, and they are on track to reach $18 billion by 2017, according to estimates from the Brewers Association and Mintel. Millennials are fueling the growth, with 49% of them favoring craft brews compared to 40% of Gen Xers, 29% of baby boomers and 22% of the World War II generation, Mintel reports.
