DISH Network's U.S. roots give it an advantage in its bidding war for Sprint Nextel with Japanese telecom SoftBank, DISH Chairman Charlie Ergen says. "You have to climb the towers here and you'll have to have U.S. employees. ... Operations command control will be in America. That's good for jobs," he said Wednesday. Ergen gave an interview the day after SoftBank head Masayoshi Son had dismissed DISH's higher bid as "incomplete and illusory," saying it would keep Sprint mired in debt.
