Little relief is in sight from the prolonged eurozone recession as suggested by a 0.1% month-on-month slide in retail sales across the region in March. The decline, "following on from the purchasing managers reporting still appreciable contraction in services activity in April, points to significant ongoing economic struggles for the region," commented Howard Archer, IHS Global Insight chief U.K. and European economist.
