Such requirements apply when individuals seek Social Security benefits, and only claimants approaching retirement were expected previously to pursue Medicare set-aside arrangements, said Rosey Atkins of Rising Medical Solutions. "In the last three or four years, I have seen an increase of younger claimants coming through where I have had to project costs for a Medicare set-aside," Atkins said.
