The U.S. could stimulate domestic growth and accelerate global expansion through energetic trade policy, former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice says. "I tend to think that trade policy would help," she said. "That if you had a robust effort and free trade agreements for the United States, perhaps another try at a round for the World Trade Organization, that you might be able to stimulate some even export-led growth, which at this point would be welcome."
