The Federal Communications Commission on Friday got rid of 126 telecom regulations on Chairman Julius Genachowski's final day as head of the commission. "We're talking about millions of dollars in savings, which will ultimately result in a more dynamic, competitive market and lower prices for consumers," Genachowski said in a statement. USTelecom CEO Walter McCormick said the reduced clutter was a positive step but added that the FCC "missed the opportunity for the thorough spring cleaning that has long been needed."
