Not everyone thinks the Dreamliners are heavenly. FlyersRights.org and the Aviation Consumer Action Project called on the Federal Aviation Administration and the Transportation Department to limit the aircraft's flights to routes that are never more than two hours from the nearest airport. "The 787 lithium ion batteries have a long history of overheating, catching fire, even exploding. This could easily bring down an airliner, especially if it was not within easy reach of an airport for an emergency landing," said Paul Hudson, an attorney and leader of both organizations.
