The Pentagon's new Defense Clandestine Service will see its funding capped unless it can show that the work being done in that intelligence operation isn't already being carried out by other agencies, House lawmakers said. The House Armed Services Committee's intelligence and emerging threats subcommittee is holding back half the funding for the intelligence operation until it gets assurances that it is not duplicating work.
