Roof-mounted cranes took apart and rebuilt part of the crane at the top of One57 in New York City after it was damaged by Superstorm Sandy. The cranes removed two sections of the 54-section mast of the damaged crane to allow a replacment boom to be hoisted into place, and other components were brought up to make the crane operational. "It was an extremely involved process," said Paul Finamore, senior vice president and project executive of Lend Lease, the project's construction manager.
