Four bids have been submitted for the Hulu video site, with offers coming from The Chernin Group, led by ex-News Corp. President Peter Chernin; private equity fund Guggenheim Digital Media; DIRECTV; and Time Warner Cable, sources said. Chernin's offer is said to be $500 million, with additional monies for debt and programming charges. Hulu's owners are News Corp., Walt Disney Co. and Comcast's NBCUniversal.
