A group of nine seventh- and eighth-grade students from Youngstown, Ohio, recently completed training with the Black Knights Police Association Youth Police Academy. The program, operated as an after-school activity for students in Youngstown City Schools, teaches students about the types of crimes, the criminal justice system, what to do when they are stopped by police and how to deal with bullying. "What I want them to take away from this is to be responsible young adults," said Delphine Baldwin-Casey, a retired Youngstown police officer who runs the program.
