It is important for the U.S. to adopt a "collective narrative" regarding education, writes Katrina Stevens a long-time teacher, principal and district leader. She writes in this blog post that equity has been chosen in Finland, and in the U.S., "personalization" may be the key. Already, the emerging trends of differentiation, cultural responsiveness, technology tools and standards-based education appear to be taking the country in that direction, she writes.
