Sen. Harry Reid, D-Nev., may schedule a procedural vote as early as next week on the renomination of Richard Cordray as director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Mr. Reid may also consider overhauling filibuster rules to prevent Senate Republicans from using that tactic to block Mr. Cordray's nomination. The nomination faces a tough road, given that 43 GOP senators signed a letter saying they would not agree to the nomination without changes to the CFPB's structure.
