A proposal to take down two municipal wind turbines in Falmouth, Mass., due to sound-related complaints was defeated in a 6,001-to-2,940 vote during a town meeting. "The only way we can fix damage we've already done is with renewable energy," said resident Kim Deisher, who voted against the proposal. Last month, a plan to allocate funds for the turbines' decommissioning was rejected by town meeting members. Two 1.65-megawatt turbines are located at the town's wastewater facility.
