Astronauts sent to Mars one day could be exposed to dangerous levels of radiation, according to a study. Equipment on the Mars Curiosity rover shows that humans would be exposed to doses of radiation up to 1,000 times higher than on Earth. Scientists are unsure what health risks that might pose, but NASA won't send astronauts into space if it raises their risk of cancer by 3%.
