Menu listings for breakfast sandwiches rose 8.1% at U.S. restaurants last year, and a third of consumers eat them at least once a week, according to Technomic. Bacon proved the most popular breakfast meat, followed by ham and sausage, and flatbreads, paninis and croissants grew in popularity while demand for ciabatta breads and tortillas declined, the report found.
