The International Energy Agency lowered its forecast for U.S. biofuel production today because of policy uncertainty surrounding the Renewable Fuel Standard. The IEA predicts that the U.S. will produce 937,000 barrels of biofuels a day this year, down 35,000 from a year ago. "Though there is no clear indication the RFS2 will be amended, growing market perception of policy uncertainty introduces an additional downside risk to our medium-term forecast," the IEA said.
