Medicare-eligible workers who are self-employed may qualify for premium deductions, according to a ruling from the Internal Revenue Service. Younger self-employed workers have enjoyed the benefit of deducting insurance premiums, and the IRS has clarified that workers who have reached Medicare age and are still working also can do so. If basic self-employed health insurance requirements are satisfied, workers can take deductions for all four Medicare Parts.
